Nuoc Cham is a vibrant, tangy-sweet dipping sauce that is perfect for dunking, drizzling, or marinating. This Vietnamese classic adds a burst of flavour to everything from spring rolls to grilled meats.
Ingredients
- 120ml (4 fl oz) filtered water
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 4 tbsp fish sauce
- juice of 4 limes
- ½ carrot, grated
- 1 large garlic clove, finely grated
- 4 bird's eye chillies, finely sliced
Directions
Place the water and sugar into a jug, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Add the rest of the ingredients, stir well, and then transfer the mixture into an airtight container. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
