Rum balls are a very popular item at our family Christmas, and they have become the dish we snack on all day because they are so good... and very very easy to make (even babe can master them)!
Ingredients
- 1 packet milk arrowroot biscuits (or similar)
- 1 can condensed milk
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup desiccated or shredded coconut + extra for the outside
- 30-60ml rum (1.5-3 tbsp) (less or more depending on how much you want to taste the rum)
Directions
Crush your milk arrowroot biscuits using a bag and rolling pin or a blender/food processor
- Add the cocoa powder, coconut, condensed milk and rum and mix well. I recommend washing your hands and then using your hands to mix it completely as the mixture is quite thick.
- Add the extra desiccated coconut onto a plate or bowl.
- Roll the mixture into small balls and cover with the extra coconut you just prepped. Do this until the mixture is all used up. Place the rum balls on a tray lined with baking paper and place into the fridge to set.
