Need a quick, easy dinner recipe to make on a budget? Try this packet ramen chilli oil noodles. Great for mid-week dinners or college meal!
Ingredients
- 1 packet of spicy ramen noodles
- 1 clove of garlic
-
the green part of 1 spring onion, finely sliced
- 1 egg
- 45ml (3 tbsp) peanut oil
- 15ml (1 tbsp) soy sauce
- 15ml (1 tbsp) black Chinese vinegar
Directions
Place a pot of water to boil. Once boiling, cook your noodles for the duration specified on the packet minus 1 minute.
- In the bowl you're going to serve the noodles in, add as much of the seasoning packet from the noodles as you prefer, along with one clove of garlic, finely grated.
- While the noodles are cooking, fry your egg in 15ml of peanut oil. Heat the remaining peanut oil in a small saucepan until it just starts to smoke. Then pour the hot oil over the seasoning packet and garlic in the bowl. Stir well, then add the soy sauce and vinegar.
- Once the noodles are cooked, place them into the bowl with the spicy oil mixture. Toss well, then garnish with the spring onions and the fried egg.
